An intimate pourover workshop intended for participants who have experience with pourovers and are interested in improving their technique. The session will be led by Otis Cheng. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn and practice in our lab with access to various brewers, grinders and other gear. Equipment is available but participants are encouraged to bring their own grinder and/or kettle to practice for best results at home. Sessions will primarily be led in English but language accomodations for Cantonese and Mandarin can be avialable. Please email orders@hatchcrafted.com for details. Review of basic brewing preparation
Understanding equipments for brewing
Dosing, grinding & ratio adjustments
Sensory evaluation of a cup
Extraction theory
Factors of adjustment
Practice and coaching tips for consistent cups
Workshops will be held at our roastery in Markham. Brewing equipment is available but attendees are encouraged to bring their own setup to practice on.
